Spray Foam Insulation CertificationCongratulations once more to Corey Yates, our fearless leader and the owner of Sunlight Contractors. He’s done it again! Corey has recently received the highest certification available to a spray foam installer: the SPFA Master Installer Spray Foam Insulation certification.
The SPFA, or Spray Polyurethane Foam Alliance, has developed the only professional certification program available to the SPF industry. The program is international ISO-17024 compliant and was created using industry consensus during nearly two years of rigorous comprehensive preparation. The Master Installer certification indicates a level of commitment, credibility, and expertise that is a challenge to achieve.
In order to earn the Master Installer certification, Corey was required to pass an extensive written exam as well as a Field Exam that emulates the SPF spraying experience from start-up to shut-down. He also had to undertake the CPI online Health and Safety training for Assistants and provide evidence of completion of CPR, First Aid, and OSHA training hours.
Spray polyurethane foam is a all-in-one sealer and insulation that can coat and protect surfaces whether they’re in your attic or underneath your home. Unlike other insulations, spray foam is moisture resistant and won’t provide an environment for mold and mildew to grow. Because it clings to surfaces and fills in cracks and crevices, spray foam prevents the passage of air into and out of the structure, and it also deters insects and other pests from entering your home.
